Wedding flowers are expensive because they are custom-made and very labor intensive. The typical bridal bouquet you see in a magazine contains 30 or more stems of flowers, costing a minimum of $200 at any Twin Cities flower shop.
The industry guideline for floral shops is a 300% markup on flowers plus and at least 20% for labor. Flower shops charge extra to deliver your wedding flowers and you will have to find someone to pin them on. For church flowers and reception centerpiece designs their creativity, of necessity, is most often limited to what can be designed in the shop, loaded into a truck and dropped off by the delivery driver.
I work very differently. In addition to my unique pricing, I buy your flowers just 48 hours before your wedding so your flowers will be perfect and fresh. I work on your wedding alone because I am not running a flower shop. I charge $30 per hour for labor.
Your wedding flowers by Hyacinth Events include:
- At least 2 face-to-face meetings, including one at your wedding/reception location
- Ongoing communication via phone/email
- An illustrated, detailed plan for your flowers which you can review and change right up to the week before the wedding
- Personal floral design tailored to your taste, colors and the look you want, from very traditional to "out of the box" I can do it all, and I have.
- Unique solutions that will give your wedding that "wow factor."
- Personal delivery and pin-on. Set up and on-site design of the larger pieces. This allows me to do some spectacular work because it does not have to be loaded on a truck!
- Use of all glassware and unique containers, glass votives and most supplies. (aisle runners, candles, flower girl baskets, ring pillows, etc. not included)
- Pick up of all the glassware and supplies following the wedding. I simply ask your clean-up crew to pack things back into the boxes I will leave for them.
